LOVE

We just came back from a ten day trip to Maui, and have experienced love in a real and tangible way. A gracious "Someone" generously shared by opening their wallet, their caring, generous hearts, and ventured forth to help us to enjoy a previously unknown experience; flying to a tropical paradise. All I can say is "WOW!" what fullness of joy it brought to me and Steve. Those are moments that I will not soon forget. Moments I will cherish for always. Moments of seeing Christ through the unselfish actions of others.
I have been preparing my Women's Ministry bible study lesson for Feb. 12 and decided to share it with you in advance. I hope it your mind and heart will be challenged to seek to experience true love.

L - learning to share

O - opening our hearts

V - venturing forth

E - experiencing fullness of joy

1. L - It’s not all about ME – God has given each of us the capacity to love not
only ourselves, but others as well. We each have something to share –
talents, wealth, wisdom, understanding, compassion, empathy and sympathy.
Share yourself. As you do, you are sharing the LOVE of God.
2. O - We cannot share God’s love if we have closed hearts, fearful hearts,
faithless hearts. It is only by opening our hearts to God that we will be
able to experience what true LOVE really is.
3. V - By taking that first step, and then the second, third and then really
venturing out beyond our comfort zone, it is the way we will find the
happiness and pleasure that God really wants us to experience in this life.
Cast aside your fears and have a little faith that God can and will give you
more than you could ever ask for or desire. We so limit God. How Great Is
Our God? Greater still…
4. E - It’s okay, go ahead and fall headlong in love with Jesus and all he has
given and will give. You don’t have to feel guilty. He wants to give us
fullness of joy in this life, and in the life to come “pleasures
forevermore!” We are children of the Heavenly King and he owns the cattle
on a thousand hills and more – and we our heirs, joint heirs with Christ.
Enjoy!
